Description

The horse trough and drinking fountain, located within South Park Gardens off Dudley Road in Wimbledon, dates from the late 19th century. It features a rectangular granite horse trough with a chamfered base supported by two granite supports. One end of the trough has an ogee-shaped granite gable with a semi-circular bowl attached. An inscription on one side reads "METROPOLITAN DRINKING FOUNTAIN & CATTLE TROUGH ASSOCIATION." Below the main trough, there is a dog trough.
