Description

The barn at Philpotts Yard is a late 16th century or early 17th century structure featuring six bays. It is weatherboarded, and its roof is now covered in galvanized iron. There is an aisle on the south side of the barn, with stout uprights and a pattern of arched braces along the side of the plate. The roof is supported by queen post trusses and has a half-hipped design. Additionally, there is a gabled porch on the south side. Some of the timbers have been renewed over time.
