Description
27C Church Road is a former Rectory located north of the church, set back from the road. This early to mid-19th century villa is notable for its large proportions and is constructed of stock brick. It features a hipped slate roof with an eaves soffit. The casement windows have gauged brick arches and glazing bars. The central window on the first floor is round-arched, complete with a keystone and impost blocks. There are two steps leading up to a double door made of six flat panels, which is adorned with a patterned fanlight and framed by a moulded architrave, all surrounded by a radial glazed panel. A wooden Doric porch enhances the entrance. To the left, there is a slightly projecting two-storey extension that has been somewhat altered. The building is currently in the process of restoration.
