Description
The Old Rectory is a late 18th and 19th century rectory, now a private house. The exterior is a mix of roughcast and colourwashed brick, with pantile roofs. The south front is three storeys and three bays wide. A 20th-century door is centrally located. The ground floor has tripartite sash windows, the first floor has three sashes, and the attic floor has three shuttered windows, all with glazing bars. The building has a gabled roof with internal end stacks. An east wing, a two-storey, one-bay extension added in 1890, has sashes with glazing bars and a hipped slate roof. A west wing is accessed through a square, 18th-century portico porch with a gabled design; the porch features a pair of unfluted Ionic columns in antis and a panelled inner door.
