Description
Woodbine Cottage is a house that showcases three different architectural periods. The central section has an early 18th-century appearance, constructed of red brick with a first-floor band and a high-pitched tiled roof. It is two storeys tall and features two windows with 19th-century casements, as well as a blocked circular window on both floors at either side.
Attached to the back of the house, projecting from the left side, is a 16th-century building that is one storey with an attic and has irregular window placements. This section has exposed framing with plaster filling and a high-pitched tiled roof of the side purlin type, supported by wind braces.
On the right side, there is a two-storey wing with one window, built with rather flimsy square framing and modern brick filling, likely dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. This wing also has modern casements. The left wing features a large end chimney with offsets made of old brick, and there is a modern wooden entrance loggia situated between this wing and the central part of the house.
