Description
St Leonard's Farmhouse is a T-shaped building from the 16th century, mostly re-fronted in 19th century red brick, although some older brick is still visible. The front has two storeys and features three windows. The left bay, which is at the head of the T, slightly projects under a gable. The farmhouse has high-pitched tiled roofs and a compound brick stack with a cornice in several planes. It includes horizontal sliding sash windows and a six-panel door located at the angle of the left wing. Inside, there is much exposed timber, including a ground floor room with a fine ceiling made of chamfered beams and joists. The roof structure features side purlins with queen posts and stout wind braces.
