Description
The barn located to the south of the mill owner's house at Wright's Flour Mills is a timber-framed structure that is weather-boarded and likely dates from the early 18th century. It features a half-hipped roof that is partly tiled and partly slated. Inside, there are queen strut roof trusses and butt purlins at different levels. The timbers are fairly thin but closely set, with flushed diagonal braces. This barn, along with the old mill building, the mill owner's house, and the house to the east of the old mill building, forms a working group that represents a very rare survival in London.
