Description
The house to the east of the old mill building, now used as offices for Wright's Flour Mills, dates from the late 18th century. It is two storeys high with an attic and constructed of brick. The front features two windows, with the right side showcasing a brick, two-storey canted sash bay. The windows are from the 19th century, and the house has a capped parapet. There is a small modern extension on the left side of the ground floor. The roof is a hipped mansard slate design, featuring two flat-topped sash dormers from the 18th century. The main front of the house faces east and includes three altered sash windows. A notable feature is the central doorcase, which has an open pediment supported by Doric columns and an entablature, along with a round-headed fanlight above. The eaves are plain, and the roof is a hipped mansard slate style. This house, along with the Old Mill Building, the Mill Owner's House, and the Barn, forms a working group that represents a very rare survival in London.
