Description

No. 8, Acacia Road is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stucco and has a slate hipped roof extending to the eaves. The house is two storeys high with a basement, and is three windows wide. A central projecting Doric porch features solid sides and arched side lights. The arched entrance is adorned with a decorative plaque within the tympanum, leading to a panelled door. The windows are square-headed with architraves, and contain sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are corniced and have cast iron window guards. Balustraded steps lead to the entrance. This building demonstrates group value as part of a cohesive terrace.
