46 and 47 Acacia Road are semi-detached villas built around 1830 to 1840 as part of the Portland Estate St John's Wood villa development. They are constructed of stucco with a channelled ground floor and feature a slate roof, showcasing an Italianate-Grecian style. The buildings rise three storeys with a semi-basement and have two-window wide fronts, with No 47 having a low one-window wing. The outer bays have architraved doorways that are accessed by steps, and No 47 includes a canopy. The windows are recessed sashes; those on the ground floor are pilastered, while the first-floor windows are segmental arched within architraves, with eared detailing on No 46. A cornice runs above the ground floor, and there are sill bands and bracketed flat eaves to the hipped roof. Flanking the buildings are corniced chimney stacks, and there are cast iron geometric patterned area railings. This villa type is similar to the adjoining Eyre Estate.
