Semi-detached villas. c1830-40 Portland Estate St John's Wood villa development. Stucco; slate roof. Italianate-Grecian. 3 storeys and semi-basement. Each 2 windows wide, with recessed, 2-storey, 1-window entrance wings (that of No 37 full height). Pilastered doorways, altered with built out porch to No 37. 1st and 2nd floors have recessed sashes and architraved surrounds, the ground floor windows elaborated with panelled pilasters, scrolled friezes, pediments and cast iron geometric window guards. Rusticated quoins to main block; frieze below flat eaves of hipped roof. (with later dormers); corniced chimney stacks. Similar villa type to the adjoining Eyre Estate.
