Description
Nos 19 and 20 South Molton Street are terrace houses with shops, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of stock brick and have concealed slate roofs, standing four storeys tall with each front featuring three windows. The late 19th-century shop fronts have been altered in the mid to later 20th century but still retain bracket capped pilasters and fascias. The upper floors have recessed sash windows, some of which include glazing bars, set under flat gauged arches with stuccoed reveals and stone sills. There is a stuccoed plat band at the first floor and a parapet with coping. The interior of the shop at No 19 features a deep ornamental plaster frieze, while the rest of the interior has plain late 18th-century mouldings. This listing is included for its group value only.
