Description
No. 50 South Molton Street is a terraced house dating from the mid-18th century, although its facade was rebuilt in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of stone and brick, featuring a plate glass shopfront from around 1900 on the ground and first floors, which is framed by stone surrounds. To the right of the shopfront, there is a house doorway with an architraved and panelled door, topped with a stone cornice. Above the first floor, the building is finished in pink brick and has square-headed windows. Inside, the house retains a mid-18th century staircase, which is notable for its turned and twisted balusters and carved tread ends. The property is included in the listing for its interior features.
