Description
No. 18 South Molton Street is a terrace house with a shop, built in the early 20th century, likely as a refronting of a late 18th-century house. It features red brick construction with abundant painted stone or stucco decorations and has a slate roof. The building showcases Commercial Free Style architectural elements and stands four storeys high, with three windows across its façade. The early 20th-century shop front has been altered and includes a cornice and a cast iron balcony, from which a full-width segmental arched quadripartite upper display window rises. The second and third floors have plate glass sash windows that are recessed in moulded architraves. The building is topped with a cornice and a parapet with coping. It is included in the register for its group value only.
