Description
Nos 117 to 119 Piccadilly are terrace townhouses built in the late 18th century, which were refronted and remodeled around 1900 to 1910. They are constructed of Portland stone and have slate roofs, standing five storeys tall with a basement. Nos 117 and 118 form a pair, each with two windows, while No 119 has a five-window front. The ground floors are channelled, and there are Doric columned porches flanking Nos 117 and 118. The first floor features architraved sash windows with segmental pediments. Rusticated quoins are present on the corners and at the party wall. No 119 has a similar design but includes an architraved doorcase to the right instead of a porch, accessed by a flight of steps. A balustraded stone balcony spans across the three fronts at the first floor, and there is a modillion bracketed main cornice above the third floor, along with a cornice and blocking course at the attic storey. No 117 has a five-window return with similar architectural details, including a central tripartite window on the first floor that features a balcony. The area balustrade is made of stone and cast iron.
