Description

Nos. 76 to 80 on Mount Pleasant is a terrace of three houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. They rise three storeys and have a basement, with each house comprising three bays. The entrances for Nos. 76 and 78 are located on the right side, while No. 80 has its entrance on the left.

The first floor has a sill band and a top cornice with a blocking course. The windows are fitted with wedge lintels and are sashed; No. 76 has glazing bars on its sashes and a six-panel door. Each house features bowed iron balconies on the first floor and plain iron railings. No. 78 includes a large ground floor casement window and has glazing bars on the sashes of the second floor. No. 80 is distinguished by an iron balcony on the first floor and panelled stone gate piers. All houses have a fanlight and a modillioned cornice, with Nos. 76 and 78 showcasing fluted Doric columns.
