No. 36 Clarence Street is a shop built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, topped with a cornice. The ground floor has been altered in the 20th century but retains its original door case. The upper floors are adorned with sashed windows that have glazing bars and wedge lintels.
