19, Great College Street Sw1

No. 19 Great College Street is a corner terrace house built around 1722. It features brown brick construction with a ground floor that has channelled stucco from the early 19th century and a tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high, with a basement and a dormered mansard. It has three windows across the front, with a two-window return to Barton Street and a three-window rear wing that was enlarged in the early 20th century.

The entrance is located to the right and retains its original wooden architrave doorcase, which is framed by a pediment on console brackets and a fluted frieze. The windows are flush framed glazing bar sashes, set under segmental red brick arches with red brick-dressed jambs above the ground floor. The parapet has coping, and the return on Barton Street features a stone tablet inscribed "Barton Street 1722." The property is also adorned with wrought iron area railings topped with urn finials and a wrought iron scrolled lamp standard.

Inside, the house retains fielded panelling in the front rooms and the passage hall, along with a dog leg, closed string staircase with turned balusters.
