Offices. 1854, by Sir James Pennethorne; east wing rebuilt after war damage. Stucco, slate roof. Italianate palazzo, richly detailed. Splayed corner block. 3 storeys, basement and dormered attic. 3-window wide corner splay with 3-window returns. Doric portico-porch to centre of splay. Recessed plate glass sashes. The 1st floor windows with Corinthian columns and pilasters, cornices and pediments; the window over porch elaborated as a Venetian window. Rusticated ground floor; balustraded balconies to 1st floor; enriched sill band to 2nd floor and enriched frieze to crowning dentil cornice. Balustraded area parapets.
