Description
Harrington Chambers is an office building dating from the 1840s, with a roof that was altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. The building has four storeys and an attic, with a total of 13 bays, including a curved corner bay and one bay facing Harrington Street. The bays are arranged in a pattern of 1:5:5:1 and are divided by panelled giant pilasters. There are sill bands on the first and second floors, along with a cornice and parapet at the top. The ground floor includes 20th-century shop fronts and two granite entrances with pediments supported by consoles. All windows are sash style. Above the second floor, there is lettering that reads "HARRINGTON CHAMBERS." The gambrel roof features dormers with a mix of segmental and triangular pediments, as well as some later round dormers.
