Description
The Buckingham Palace gates, railings, piers, and gate piers with lamps, located at Buckingham Gate and serving as the entrance to Ambassadors' Court, were constructed around 1830. They feature cast iron railings and carriage gates adorned with spear head finials. The piers and gate piers are made of plain ashlar stone, topped with deep capping blocks. Each is surmounted by octagonal lamps with crown finials, which are mounted on short standards that rise from Corinthian capital cast iron bases.
