Description
There are three lamp standards located on the approach to the Victoria Memorial from Birdcage Walk, dated 1904. These lamp standards are made of cast iron and feature an unusual design with tall drum pedestal bases and a baluster stem enriched with foliage. The lamps are hung from scrolled, foliated brackets and are monogrammed with "E. VII". They are part of a notable collection of 19th and early 20th-century lamp standards found in the Mall, Green Park, St. James's Park, Birdcage Walk, and Horse Guards.
