Description

Five large lamp standards located east and west of the avenue from Piccadilly to the Victoria Memorial were constructed around 1911. These lamp standards feature the cypher of King George V and are made of cast iron. They have large octagonal bases and tall octagonal standards topped with polygonal domed lanterns that have crown finials. The design of these lamp standards is the same as those found on the east side of St. James's Park along Horse Guards Road.
