Description
The Cabmen's Shelter near the junction with Clifton Gardens is a Grade II listed structure built in 1888. It features a timber frame with tongue and groove timber panels and a felted hipped roof that extends to the eaves. The shelter measures seven bays by three bays, with the upper part of the walls largely glazed. It has a planked door and a stump of a fleché on the roof. The eaves are overhanging and showcase prominent rafters. This shelter is one of the earliest surviving examples and was erected by the Cabmen's Shelter Fund.
