Terraced house. Circa 1760-70, mainly refenestrated within existing openings in the mid C19 with C19 rear extension and C20 shopfront. Brown stock brick with stuccoed ground floor, roof (originally slate) was being renovated at time of survey. EXTERIOR: 4 storeys; 2 windows wide. All windows on front elevation have mid C19 sashes with vertical glazing bars only but within original openings which include red brick flat arches. Stone coping. Ground floor has right side door case with semicircular fanlight and 4-panelled door. C20 plate glass shopfront. Rear elevation retains original 6-pane sash to top floor, other windows mainly C19. INTERIOR: retains wooden dogleg staircase with turned balusters, column newel and scrolled tread ends. Rear ground floor room retains C18 wooden fireplace. First floor has "Gothick" cornice, fine plasterwork ceiling and fireplace with cast-iron fire grate to rear room. Second floor has large wooden fireplace to front room and corner fireplace to rear room. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron spear railings to front.
