Description

Number 46 is a terraced house located on Old Gloucester Street, dating from the early 18th century but refronted in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of multi-colour stock brick and has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, featuring two windows. The round-arched doorway has stucco impost bands, a radial fanlight, and a panelled door. The ground floor sash window is set in a shallow round-arched recess with a gauged brick flat arch above it. The upper floors also have gauged brick flat arches over the sash windows, with the first floor featuring a stucco sill band. At the top, there is a coped parapet behind which sits a single hipped dormer window. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to retain features and a staircase mainly from the early 19th century. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings with pineapple finials surrounding the areas.
