Description

This is a row of terraced houses located at 21-27 Chilworth Street, Westminster. The houses date from the mid-19th century and have been altered since their original construction. They are built with brick and have stucco dressings. The roofs are not visible.

The houses feature rusticated quoins and are arranged over four storeys, with each house having two windows. A segmental carriage entrance is located in the centre of the row, with a bay set slightly forward above it. The ground floor now has 19th and 20th century shop fronts. A continuous cast iron bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The windows have square heads, architraves, and cornices on the first and second floors; they contain French casements. A dentil cornice sits above the third floor. The houses are included on the heritage list solely for their group value.
