Description
A terrace of houses at 2-6 Abbey Gardens, dating to around 1840. The buildings are constructed of stucco, with a mainly slated roof. The terrace comprises two and a half storeys and a basement. The central five bays exhibit a composition, with an attic above. Number 4 is a pair of bays while numbers 2 and 6 each feature a main gabled bay, adjacent to number 4, and additional paired bays at the outer edges of the composition. The ground floor is characterized by channelling. The entrances have square-headed, pilastered surrounds, with a panelled door at number 4. The ground floor windows are tripartite and have pilastered surrounds. The windows are square-headed, architraved, with sash glazing and margin glazing. The outer bays of the main block have arched windows within the gables and bracketed eaves.
