Description

The Royal Mews consists of a pair of terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of yellow brick with Bath stone on the ground floor. The houses are three storeys high and each has three windows across the front, with an additional bay on the left side of No 16. Each house features a central projecting Doric porch and panelled doors. The ground and first floor windows have tripartite glazing, while the first-floor windows have segmental heads. Other windows are square-headed with gauged heads and are mostly fitted with plate glass sashes. The buildings also have a cornice and a parapet, along with spearhead area railings.
