Substantial lodge. Earlier C19. Yellow brick; Bath stone to ground floor. Hipped slate roof to parapet. 3 windows wide, 3 storeys. Central entrance in projecting Doric porch. Square headed windows, gauged heads to first and second floors. Sashes, glazing bars. Stone cornice. 5-window return to right. Recessed pedimented 2-storey wing to left with 5-window return. Spearhead area railings. One of a pair of lodges flanking entrance to Royal Mews.
