Description

No. 12 Victoria Square is a house dating to around 1840, likely designed by Matthew Wyatt. It is constructed of stucco, with a roof that is not visible. The building is double-fronted, arranged over three storeys, an attic, and a basement, and features three windows across the facade. A central square-headed entrance has paired panelled and glazed doors. The windows are square-headed, with tripartite arrangements to the upper storey of the outer bays, and pediments over the outer first-floor windows. The sashes are mainly plate glass, with French casements to the first floor. A cornice sits above the second floor, and a smaller cornice is present at the attic level. A two-window, two-storey wing projects to the right. A return façade is present to the left. Cast iron area railings are in place. The building forms an integral and unified part of the surrounding composition.
