Description
The lodge at the former Bishops Palace, now part of the Carmarthenshire County Museum, is a single-storey building designed in a picturesque style. It features pebble-dashed walls and a slate roof, which has a central pebble-dashed stack with two octagonal shafts. The roof is hipped at the polygonal front and supported by wooden posts, while the rear is half-hipped and adorned with trefoiled barge boards. The windows are fitted with latticework glazing bars and simple hood moulds. The front of the lodge includes a central three-light window, with blind windows on the adjacent sides. To the left, there is a two-light window followed by a door with diagonal boarding. On the right side, there is an added brick porch with a boarded door. Towards the rear, the wall steps out to the eaves line on both sides, featuring a two-light window on the right and a single-light window on the left.
