Description
The garden walls at the former Bishops Palace, located at Carmarthenshire County Museum, are constructed of high rubble stone and enclose a garden that measures approximately 60 by 50 meters. The walls face the east side of the churchyard and feature a plain coping, standing about 2.5 meters tall. At the northern end, the wall is stepped and includes an inserted doorway with a freestone surround and a round brick head. This door, which has vertical ribs, provides access to a path leading to the former palace. The southern return of the wall is battered at the base and, due to the lower ground level, reaches a height of approximately 4 meters as it faces a ditch.
