Description
This terrace of six houses, numbered 55 to 63 Tower Street, was built in the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are three storeys high and constructed of yellow stock brick, with the ground floor finished in channelled stucco. The windows are sash windows: those on the ground floor have segmental heads, and those on the first floor have rubbed lintels and flat heads. A band runs along the second floor level. The roof is slate, with projecting eaves. The windows contain glazing bars. Each house features a Roman Doric porch with a four-panel door and a fanlight above the door.
