Description

17 and 18 Jewry Street is a 2-storey building dating from the 16th to 17th century. It features a gable at one end facing the street. Number 17 has been entirely rebuilt, while both buildings have recently undergone restoration, with brick nogging infilling added to the timber framework. The windows are irregular, all being lattice casements. Number 17 has a modern shop front and four windows above it, while Number 18 has a central recessed doorway. The building is topped with an old tile roof and retains original Tudor arches in the fireplaces on the ground floor.
