Description

This mid-19th century house is located on Randolph Crescent, City of Westminster. It is constructed of brick, with a stucco finish, and extends over three storeys, an attic, and a basement. The building has three irregular bays, including a full-height, three-window bow to the left. A projecting porch with dentils and Ionic detailing provides access via part-glazed double doors, topped by a fanlight. The bow windows are set within a vermiculated surround, and the first floor features a stucco balustrade. Sashes are fitted within architraves, while the bow windows incorporate tripartite casements divided by attached, fluted Corinthian columns supporting a dentilled cornice. Second-floor sashes are similarly framed in architraves. Decorative pierced balconies and windows are present, along with a scrollwork frieze and a dentil cornice. Attic sashes are also set within architraves. A stucco balustraded wall defines the basement, and iron railings flank the steps leading to the entrance. The return front to Randolph Avenue features a similar design across three bays.
