Description
Nos 16 and 17 Manette Street are a pair of houses with shops on the ground floor, dating from the early to mid 18th century. They are constructed of brick and feature tiled double-pitched roofs with parapets. The buildings rise to four storeys and each has two bays. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts, while the upper floors have square-headed windows, with the upper floor of No 17 featuring a continuous three-light window. Most windows are sashes, although No 16 has casements on the first and second floors. Inside No 17, there are notable surviving features including a turned baluster staircase, cornices, and panelling.
