Description

This is a range of late 18th-century terraced townhouses on Cannon Street Road in London. The facades are constructed of yellow brick, with No. 116 having a stucco front and No. 118 a painted facade. Nos. 120 and 122 feature channelled stucco on the ground floor. The properties are three storeys high with basements and dormers, and each has three windows, except for No. 116 which has two. Most windows have gauged flat arches over recessed windows with glazing bars. No. 118 incorporates a slightly later, projecting shop front, while No. 122 features a modern shop window. The doorcases are distinguished by carved, shaped brackets and pediments or dentil cornices; No. 122’s doorcase has a pediment supported by three-quarter Doric columns. Nos. 116 to 122, together with Nos. 126 to 130, form a notable group.
