Description
Nos 17 to 28 Albert Gardens, built in the early 19th century, are constructed of stock brick and feature a band above the ground floor. The buildings are three storeys tall with basements and have two windows each. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, and those on the ground floor have semi-circular heads set in double recesses. The doorways are adorned with quarter or three-quarter Doric columns. Notably, there are fine wrought iron area railings with pineapple finials at No 17 and Nos 26 to 28. These buildings are part of a group with Nos 495 to 529 (odd) Commercial Road.
