Description
Raine’s Foundation School is represented by the surviving facade of the original building, now incorporated into a modern school. The facade preserves two original sculpted figures of a boy and a girl, along with the original tablet inscribed "Come in and learn your duty to God and Man, 1719." These elements originated from the first Raine’s School, which was located on Raine Street, Wapping. The building is listed primarily for the significance of these figures and tablet. The listed buildings of Arbour Square form a group with numbers 3 to 19, East Arbour Street.
