Description

Nos 1 to 16 Albert Gardens, built in the early 19th century, are constructed of stock brick and feature a band above the ground floor. The buildings rise three storeys with basements and have two windows on each facade. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, while those on the ground floor have semi-circular heads set in double recesses. The doorways are adorned with quarter or three-quarter Doric columns. Notably, there are fine wrought iron area railings with pineapple finials serving Nos 5 to 16. These buildings are part of a group with Nos 495 to 529 (odd) Commercial Road.
