Description
The Priory of the Assumptionist Fathers is a mid to late 19th-century building designed in the Jacobean style. It is constructed of stock brick with stucco bands and window dressings. The building features six bays and stands three storeys high, although the gable end rises to four storeys. The windows are designed with mullions and transoms, and there is a Tudor arched stone doorway. This building is noted for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes the Church and Priory of Our Lady of the Assumption, The Terrace, Nettleswell House at No 5, and Nos 15 to 21 (odd) on Old Ford Road.
