Description
Nos 17 and 19 on Old Ford Road, built in the early 18th century, are notable for their yellow stock brick construction and hipped roofs, with part of the roof being pantiled and a parapet above. The buildings rise three storeys and include a basement. Number 17 features two windows, while number 19 has three. The windows have recessed and semi-recessed sashes, topped with red gauged flat arches. The entrance doors are adorned with semi-circular fanlights, although the fanlight for number 17 is blocked. Both properties have a panelled pilaster doorcase and a bracketed hood with a panelled soffit, while number 19 is distinguished by its pedimented entrance. These buildings are part of a group that includes The Terrace, No 5 (Netteswell House), and Nos 15 to 21, along with the Church and Priory of Our Lady of the Assumption in Victoria Park Square.
