Description
This is a house located at 27 Urlwin Street, built in the mid-19th century. The exterior features stucco that has been scored to imitate ashlar stone. It has a hipped slate roof with boxed eaves. The building stands two storeys tall over a half basement, with all windows being flat-arched. The upper windows have original 6x6 sash bars, while the basement windows have 3x3 sash bars. The arrangement of the windows is slightly off-centre compared to the rest of the façade. There is a round-arched entrance with a plain fanlight, accessed by a short flight of steps, and it has a four-panel door that is of an authentic design. A truncated chimney stack is located on the left side of the building. The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a strong group of buildings, consisting of Nos 24-30, which all share an identical design.
