Description
26A and 26B on Urlwin Street is a mid-19th century house that has been subdivided. The exterior features stucco that has been scored to imitate ashlar. It has a hipped slate roof with boxed eaves and a stack on the left return with a dormer roof extension. The building is two storeys high, with a half basement. All windows are flat-arched and have 6x6 sash bars of original design, although the basement sashes do not follow an authentic pattern. The placement of the openings is slightly off-centre in relation to the rest of the elevation. There is a round-arched entrance with a fanlight, accessed by a short flight of steps, and a four-panel door that is of an authentic design. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a strong group of structures, consisting of Nos 24-30, which all share an identical design.
