Description

This is a mid-19th century house located on the south side of Urlwin Street. It is constructed of stucco scored to resemble ashlar. The roof is slate, hipped in form, with a dormer on the left hip, and features boxed eaves. The house has two storeys over a half basement. All windows have flat arches and original 6x6 sash bars. The right-hand basement window has original 4x4 sashes. The arrangement of the window openings is slightly off-centre on the facade. A round-arched entrance, with a plain fanlight, is accessed by a short flight of steps and contains a door of original design with four panels. A stack is located on the right return. The interior has not been inspected. The house forms part of a visually cohesive group of buildings, numbers 24 to 30 Urlwin Street, which share a similar design.
