House, now part of the Maudsley Hospital. 1820-1840. Brick in Flemish bond with stucco dressings; roof parapeted. Stacks to returns. Rectangular in plan. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement and 3-window range. All openings flat-arched. In centre an entrance up stairs and set in rectangular porch, with Ionic columns 'in antis' and entablature, each side wall pierced by one window. One window to either side of entrance with entablature and projecting cornice; lintel strings. Storey band between ground and 1st floors. First-floor windows with architraves and alternating segmental and triangular pediments, centre window with console brackets supporting the pediment. Sill band to 2nd-floor windows, each window with entablature. Entablature with projecting cornice across the entire elevation. Sashes of an original design: 2x2 to ground-floor with broad margin lights; 4x4 to 1st floor and 3x6 to top floor. Left return is unfenestrated; right return has 2 windows near the corner. Rear has a 3-window range, many windows with sashes of an early C19 design. INTERIOR: not inspected. Similar to No.103 (qv) to the south.
