Description

This detached villa was built around 1842. It is constructed of yellow brick with a low-pitched slate roof, featuring a later central dormer and paired brackets to the deep eaves soffit. The house has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, with three bays across the front. A stucco prostyle Doric porch, adorned with a triglyph frieze, provides a formal entrance. The windows are sash windows, with flat, gauged-brick arches above them; the ground-floor windows are tripartite (three-part), and the upper-floor windows have margin lights. A brick string course runs horizontally between the two floors. The interior of the villa has not been inspected. The building contributes to the group value of numbers 93-97 (odd) on Denmark Hill.
