Description
152 and 154 Queens Road is a detached house built around 1845. It features amber brick with some stucco and has pitched slate roofs with deep, bracketed eaves. The building is two storeys tall with a stucco basement and consists of three bays. The right two bays slightly project under a gable, while the left bay has two small windows on the ground floor and a gablet above the first-floor window. There is a one-storey, set-back stucco entrance extension on the right side.
The main ground-floor sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed by moulded stucco architraves with bracketed sills and cornices. The left-hand bay includes one sash window and one casement window, both with glazing bars, and features a loggia supported by patterned cast-iron supports and topped with a bracketed lead canopy. The first-floor sash windows also have glazing bars and are topped with flat, gauged-brick arches.
The interior has not been inspected. This building, along with Nos 152, 154, 156, and 158 and Nos 2-6 St Mary's Road, forms a group of listed buildings.
