Description
St Andrew's Vicarage is a detached house built around 1845. It features banded stucco on the ground floor and stucco that mimics ashlar on the upper floors, topped with a Welsh-slate roof and stucco stacks at the rear and ends. The house has a central hall entrance plan, standing three storeys tall with a basement, and includes a three-window range along with a full-height bow window on the left side.
Steps lead up to a 20th-century enclosed porch. The ground floor and outer bays on the first floor have 6/6 sash windows and 1/1 sidelights, while the centre of the first floor has 6/6 sashes. All first-floor sashes are framed with plain raised surrounds and a sill band. The second floor features horizontal attic sashes, each with a pair of casements that have geometrically-patterned glazing bars. The parapet is capped with coping stones.
The prominent three-storey bow window on the left side mirrors the main elevation's detailing, with stucco work and similar window arrangements: 6/6 sashes and 1/1 sidelights on the ground and first floors, and a horizontal attic window with a pair of 2/2 casements and 1/1 sidelights on the second floor. There is also a sensitive late 19th-century two-storey rear addition that includes a bay window on the left return.
